Design a Sublime Bath Experience

As the demands of the modern world increasingly encroach on personal time, homeowners are seeking out ways to create spaces of tranquility in their homes.   According to the 2023 Houzz Bath Trends Survey, 77% of homeowners who remodel their bathrooms choose not to make them bigger. This means that designers must get extra creative. The challenge is to make these same-sized spaces not only functional but also relaxing. Explore some of the clever ways designers can achieve this balance.

Dominique fuses daring lines with a delicate contour, resulting in a perfect balance of grace and power. This 7-1/16" overall length Matte Black pull is available in an abundance of options with four other standard pull lengths and two appliance handle sizes. This pull shape is the perfect complement to any modern or contemporary design.
Don’t forget the hardware. Decorative and Functional hardware can improve the functionality of a bathroom.

 Soft Touches

It is often small improvements to the ordinary tasks that can provide a sense of wellbeing.  In the Houzz bath trend survey, soft-close drawers and doors were specified by homeowners by 81% and 75% respectively, as desired upgrades for the bath.  What a great way to give homeowners a luxury feature without taking up counter or floor space in the bath.

Visual Serenity

Clutter-free spaces contribute to creating a sense of wellbeing.  Integrating smart storage solutions in cabinets helps keep essentials organized and out of sight, which is especially important in the bath where cabinet and drawer space typically is limited.   The Adjustable SlimLine(TM) Vanity Drop-In Drawer Insert is designed to be used for drawers from 7” to 18” wide. Made of durable 3/8” white birch, it features compartments for tall, narrow items like long handle makeup brushes and toothpaste tubes or square segments ideal for holding hair ties or dental floss.

Baskets are a great way to keep bathroom items organized and out of sight.

Baskets and pullouts are an excellent way to provide easy access to larger containers like shampoo bottles and bath salts stored under the sink or inside cabinets.  They can also be used for storing additional towels and guest toiletries.  For small items that need to be kept in easy reach, door-mounted storage racks make the most of the space behind the cabinet door.

Natural Accents

Choosing purposeful bath accents inspired by nature adds to the tranquility of the bath. Natural teak shower benches add style and function to shower spaces. Plants paired with rattan plant holders not only improve air quality but add a garden inspired feel to the bath. Using wicker baskets in place of plastic containers immediately elevates any bath.

When creating a bath that provides serenity and tranquility, designers have access to an array of options. Thoughtful additions like organizers and soft-close functionality never go out of style. No matter what size the bath, homeowners will love the ease and convenience of these solutions for years to come.
