Sizzling Hot Designs from Summer 2020

Summer 2020 seems to have flown by! This may have something to do with the fact that many of us are still stuck staring at the same four walls daily, but this has also inspired many of us to want to make a change to the rooms in our homes. We saw countless sizzling hot designs posted on Instagram over the past few months!

We absolutely love seeing the hot and trendy works of art created for clients’ homes by our customers. It means even more to us when our Jeffrey Alexander or Elements cabinet knobs and pulls are a part of those masterpieces.

We’re sharing some of our favorite designs of Summer 2020 where our cabinet knobs and pulls were used to add that finishing touch!

Kowalske Kitchen & Bath

Design by Kowalske Kitchen & Bath; Photography by DzPloch Photography

Kowalske Kitchen & Bath created an elegant mixture of gloss herringbone tile, warm wood tones, satin nickel accents, and the perfect green for this luxurious yet functional space. We are crazy for the green vanity they used in this stunning Wauwatosa Remodel project. The rich green hue is complemented by a white quartz countertop and satin nickel hardware, including pulls from Jeffrey Alexander’s Royce collection. The round mirror is a unique design feature integrated into the quartz backsplash – so innovative and fun! We imagine it feels like walking into a spa every time Kowalske’s clients enter their new bathroom!

Another great post from Kowalske Kitchen & Bath included stunning examples showing how the perfect backsplash is a great way to reflect personal style in a kitchen. One design with hexagon tile really caught our eye. We had to see more, so we looked up this Contemporary Wauwatosa Kitchen in their project portfolio. We fell in love with how the white Shaker cabinets and quartz countertop stand out against the grey-blue tile accent wall. The wood floating shelves and satin bronze accents, including Jeffrey Alexander’s Sutton cabinet pulls, add pops of color and texture giving this galley kitchen remodel a new lease on life.

Merri Interiors

Meredith Weiss’ own personal kitchen was featured in KBB Magazine detailing how she created her kitchen to cater to structure and function. The kitchen is designed to use the complete area while keeping a sense of calm for the user. The full article released in the July-Aug 2020 Issue explains how Meredith has incorporated different aspects into her kitchen to not only make things more calm for her but also her children and even fur babies. While beautiful cabinet pulls like Jeffrey Alexander’s Sutton and helpful under cabinet lighting from Task Lighting are becoming more common, Meredith is above the curve with many of her home innovations. We love that Meredith added drawers into the toe kick for extra storage that also doubles as a tool to give her children more independence and responsibility. For example, the placemats are stored in one of those drawers so the kids can help set the table on their own. She also installed a beverage area outside of the kitchen to avoid congestion when one of her children or a guest would like a drink. So, Meredith, is Louisiana too far for you to come for a remodel? Asking for a friend. 🙂

Parks Lumber & Building Supply

Image and Design by Parks Lumber & Building Supply

Simply because you’re downsizing doesn’t mean your space can’t still be impressive! We think this centerpiece wet bar from Parks Lumber & Building Supply is exactly that, impressive! This is the after photo from a renovation where the client wanted to downsize while still being able to entertain. The white shaker cabinets with white counter tops and clean white walls keep this room light and airy. The color scheme paired with the more contemporary feel of Jeffrey Alexander’s Hayworth in Satin Nickel could have made the room feel stark and cold, but the beautiful tchotchkes shining through the glass upper cabinets add depth and intrigue! We’re smitten!

Rosa Moreno Kitchens

Is it normal to squeal when looking through Instagram posts? When something is so…WOW! Rosa Moreno Kitchens put together this beautiful blue coffee bar that is [insert squeal here]. Who could ever have the blues in this kitchen? Rosa pulled together distinct colors and textures that brought out the best in each other in this space. It’s so hard to choose one detail that we love the most, but the blue truly captivated us. The cabinet color is the perfect shade of blue for the satin bronze tones used, including Jeffrey Alexander’s Tiffany cabinet pulls. The contrast of the blue tones in the glass scallop tile backsplash against the rich wood countertop is enchanting and inviting. Be sure you keep scrolling when you check this one out because it was only a small feature of the full kitchen project.

Summer Lamb Designs

We’re not sure about everyone else, but hasn’t 2020 been going on for at least three years now? This crazy hand we’ve all been dealt has come with many bumps in the road that we’re all learning to deal with each day. We think keeping a happy, positive mindset and creating upbeat spaces will help us all get through it – like Summer Lamb Design did with her #1301Renovation kitchen! A small space, and a slightly longer lead time on supplies, did not stop Summer from bringing this 1930s cottage kitchen back to life! The daring lines of Jeffrey Alexander’s Dominique cabinet pulls pair perfectly with the clean lines of the white Shaker cabinets. So much personality in such a petite space! We think the pulls were totally worth the wait!

Distinct Hardware Co.

Who doesn’t love a white on white kitchen? The look is so clean and timeless! It’s like a little black dress; you can style it up with anything to make it your own. Pops of color and texture can come into play through appliances, accessories, backsplashes, and hardware. Distinct Hardware Company and Cabinet Solutions USA made this white on white Shaker kitchen a unique work of art when they added this marble-look porcelain square and diamond pattern backsplash in black and white. White, black, and gold are a beautiful combination, and we could be biased but we think Jeffrey Alexander’s Sutton cabinet pulls in Satin Bronze are the perfect finishing touch to this kitchen.

Interiors by J. Curry

Balance really is everything in this traditionally modern kitchen by Interiors by J. Curry. This kitchen has clean lines and high-end appliances for a modern look but maintains a timeless warmth you feel in every little detail. This one wall is our favorite in the whole room. We feel warm, cozy, and at home, even though this is only a photo! The wood floating shelves are perfect. Jessica chose the ideal wood tone to coordinate with the satin bronze accents, including Jeffrey Alexander’s Key West cabinet knobs and pulls, giving the right amount of color around the room. The natural light coming into the room is completely ethereal, and we would love to have a cup of coffee and read a book in that window seat bench! Be sure to check out more photos!

Jessica Curry stuns us again in this modern laundry mudroom refresh! (Check out the before and after too!) Let’s be honest here, who would dread having to do laundry if this were their view while washing, drying, and folding? This laundry room is bright and open, with tons of storage and counter space. If that wasn’t enough, how fun is this room? We really are digging the Scandinavian vibe Jessica has going on here with the slab cabinets and monochromatic pattern tile backsplash/wall. We’re honored Jeffrey Alexander’s asymmetrical Leyton cabinet pull in brushed pewter was chosen to finish out this look. Go now and drool over more pictures of this fantastic space.

IC Kitchen & Bath

Last, but not least, it’s not a kitchen, a coffee bar, laundry room, or bathroom. It’s a sight for sore eyes! A beautiful salon station by IC Kitchen & Bath! To be honest, we now know how important salon stations are, and how much we love them. This simple and chic station is worthy of love. The stark contrast of the white veining in this Livorno quartz countertop is strong but it works and is hot! Placed on top of slab drawers and paired with Elements’ square Stanton cabinet pulls in matte black, this salon station screams “fashion,” “style,” and “vogue!” It also says, “I can fix your bad quarantine home haircut!”
