Task Lighting Celebrates 35 Years by Selecting Photo Contest Winners

Task Lighting, as part of their celebration for being the leading manufacturer of LED Lighting and Angle Power Strip products for the past 35 years, recently announced the winners of their 35th Anniversary Photo Contest.

Task Lighting saw no better way to celebrate their anniversary than to invite interior designers, architects, builders, remodelers and other NKBA-certified trade professionals to submit photos of their personal favorite projects for a chance to win up to $3,000. The contest ran from May 1 through December 31, 2020, and winners were selected by a panel of design professionals including Jay Bartek, General Manager of Task Lighting.

“It has been such a pleasure to see how our Task Lighting enthusiasts utilize our products in beautiful and unique ways,” said Bartek. “We want to again thank the many entrants who took the time to submit their favorite project for consideration in our first-ever contest!”

First place winner, Fabian Vacca, showcases this kitchen’s gorgeous quartz countertops by using lighting throughout the room.

First Place – Fabian Vacca, Kitchen Solvers, Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The first place winner for a prize of $3,000 was Fabian Vacca, who displayed LED Tape Lighting in every possible square foot of this stunning white kitchen, maximizing its beauty.

Vacca showcased lighting from head to toe kick!

Vacca remodeled this kitchen by refacing all of the cabinets then adding Task Lighting both inside and underneath the cabinets as well as in the toe kick to highlight the brilliance of the kitchen. Additionally, Vacca helped #SaveTheBacksplash in this kitchen by harnessing the power of the Angle Power Strip.

Second place winner, Kelly Fanta, highlights the interior beauty of this kitchen island using lighting.

Second Place – Kelly Fanta, Crystal Paisley Cabinet Design, Cincinnati, Ohio

Coming in second place for a prize of $2,000 was Kelly Fanta with a kitchen that was practically perfect in every way – from the upper cabinet LED Tape Lighting, down to their use of the Lighted Power Strip to #SaveTheBacksplash, to their unique display island.

Once again, we were excited to see the island also be saved by using the Angle Power Strip as a power source to keep from modifying the ends of the lovely wood panels.

Fanta saved this spectacular backsplash using the Lighted Power Strip.

Fanta’s kitchen remodel client in Cincinnati wanted to lighten their space while also using mixed tone cabinet finishes, lots of glass and, of course, lighting.

Third place winner, Kristi Williams, utilized both Lighted Power Strip Fixtures and Angle Power Strip Fixtures to #SaveTheBacksplash in this beautiful white kitchen.

Third Place – Kristi Williams, McManus Kitchen and Bath, Tallahassee, Florida

The third place winner of $1,000 was Kristi Williams of McManus Kitchen and Bath with an outstanding white-on-white kitchen featuring funky pendant lights and stainless steel appliances to balance it out.

Williams brightened up this striking kitchen with the added touch of LED Tape Lighting above the cabinets.

When Williams started this kitchen remodel, she found her client had previously used off-brand under cabinet lighting that worked inconsistently. So, when she remodeled the kitchen, Williams replaced the prior under cabinet lighting with Lighted Power Strip Fixtures and she added Angle Power Strip Fixtures to the gorgeous new kitchen island. Then as a finishing touch, Williams included LED Tape Lighting above the cabinets.

Honorable Mention winner, Danielle Cambre, brought color into her bathroom remodel using RGB Tape Lighting.

Honorable Mention – Danielle Cambre, DC Home Interiors, New Orleans, Louisiana

Finally, the $500 Honorable Mention winner was Danielle Cambre who truly showcased the ability of RGB Tape Lighting’s micro-waterproof coating in this bathroom remodel.

Cambre’s unique shower/tub combo is brought to light by Task Lighting’s RGB Tape Lighting.

In this Master Bathroom addition to an existing home, Cambre’s client wanted to have mood and accent lighting whether they were showering or relaxing in the bathtub.  They also added color-changing RGB Tape Lighting to the bathroom cabinet’s toe kick.

Task Lighting’s team was overwhelmed by the gorgeous photos received during this contest and would like to extend congratulations to each winner for creating such beautiful spaces for their customers then capturing these images.
