KBIS, the premier Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, was recently held in Las Vegas and featured a whirlwind of innovation and style. This annual event provides a peek at coming kitchen and bath trends taking hold in the industry. We spent three days navigating the 700 exhibitor booths across 500,000 square feet of exhibit space and spotted some emerging trends that will influence kitchen, bath, and even van living in 2025 and beyond!
Surrounded by Nature

The trend towards natural finishes, which has rapidly grown in the past year, was seen throughout the show. Think warm, inviting kitchens with butcher block countertops and cabinetry that showcase the natural grain of the wood. Picture baths that feature natural stone countertops and sinks with muted earth-tone tiles. Spaces that coordinate natural wood finishes and earth-tone accessories create a soothing, grounded atmosphere that provides a sense of comfort in the home.
Curves Ahead

The embrace of nature has brought a shift away from clean lines to softer edges. The influence of natural finishes and materials was evident in features like curved-edge kitchen islands, Spanish-style architectural arches, and wallpapers featuring botanical designs. The touch of softness and fluidity adds an element of warmth and aligns with the desire to bring elements of nature into the home.
Matte Mania

Following the natural trend, matte finishes were popular across the show floor. Although whimsical designs and some shiny accessories featured pops of color, matte finishes were the dominant trend. Sophisticated, muted colors—especially deep, rich reds—were showcased in both kitchen and bath displays. Matte finishes not only look chic but also help minimize fingerprints—a definite win for families!
Dopamine Design: A Joyful Explosion of Color and Personality

KBIS 2025 wasn’t just about natural tones—bold, vibrant hues and whimsical details made a splash, bringing personality and joy into kitchen and bath spaces. This “Dopamine Design” movement is all about crafting interiors that spark happiness through color, unexpected design choices, and sensory appeal. From brightly painted cabinets and jewel-toned backsplashes to playful and bold patterns and statement lighting, designers are embracing maximalism in a way that feels intentional and uplifting. While matte, nature-inspired finishes remain popular, the rise of dopamine decor proves that kitchens and baths can be both serene and exuberant.
LuxVanury: The Ultimate Indulgence

One unexpected delight we saw at KBIS 2025 was the Monogram Lexus GX550. This tricked-out SUV provides a major upgrade to discerning van life devotees! It boasts a built-in pizza oven and a full suite of chef’s and mixologist’s tools, allowing you to create an elevated culinary experience anywhere. It’s the epitome of “luxvanury” – a fusion of luxury and culinary innovation.
Unseen Power: Seamless Integration

The importance of embracing innovation was the theme at KBIS NEXTStage, a dedicated space on the show floor where speakers from across the industry discussed coming trends in design and technology. Speakers encouraged designers to include lighting and power layouts as part of their designs. Evidence of how technology is getting smarter and more discreet was on display at several booths. Solutions like wireless charging solutions integrated into countertops and angle power strips that are installed discreetly under cabinetry keep your spaces clutter-free and effortlessly functional.

KBIS 2025 provided great inspiration for kitchen and bath design. The embrace of natural beauty, soothing color, and seamless technology will no doubt be popular with homeowners planning for complete renovations or just looking for a few updates.
