Hardware Resources Nabs Nine in This Year’s KBB Readers’ Choice Awards

Hardware Resources and its brands Task Lighting, Jeffrey Alexander, and Elements earned nine awards from Kitchen and Bath Business magazine, a leading trade journal for kitchen and bath designers, in their Readers’ Choice Awards 2019.

The seventh-annual contest put the vote in the hands of designers, remodelers, and other readers of KBB, who choose their favorite products based on criteria including manufacturer support, local availability, price point for their typical client budget, and category-specific attributes.

“Each year we reach out to our readers to voice their opinions on the best of the best in kitchen and bath brands and manufacturers,” the magazine explains. “This year we received a record-breaking 31,000 votes.”

Hardware Resources’ products earned accolades in the following categories:

Winners in this category were chosen based on craftsmanship/design/style/aesthetics, door styles/finishes, construction quality, and the ability to customize and modify. KBB readers recognized the vanity lines of both Elements and Jeffrey Alexander as leaders in this category. Both brands offer a variety of styles with acute attention to detail and quality.

One vanity in Elements extensive line is Compton, offering cottage styling with a curved front, Shaker-style drawers, beadboard doors, molding, and shapely bun feet. Jeffrey Alexander’s offerings include the Costrel Vanity, which boasts straight lines, slab front drawers, and high-gloss finishes, in a wall-mounted style that meets the demand for uncluttered, easy-to-clean bathrooms.

Readers called out winning bath sinks based on style, aesthetics, and durability.

Hardware Resources’ sinks comprise undermount porcelain models in 15- and 17-inch ovals or 16- and 18-1/2-inch rectangles. White or parchment color options are available.

In the kitchen accessories category, products were evaluated for style/design as well as organizational/functional ability.

Hardware Resources’ organizer products catch designers’ attention with their combination of elegant style and thoughtful functionality. Among the many options are the No-Wiggle Cabinet Pullout, which features accessible storage of essential items without side-to-side movement or sag, and the CDM Pullout Waste Container System with Baltic birch dovetail construction and space for a trash can and spare bags or other items.

KBB readers selected lighting winners based on style, with Task Lighting’s LED Lighting lineup garnering the winning votes. The company’s LED Lighting line includes pre-assembled fixtures, tape lighting, puck lights, specialty lighting, and a range of plug-in power supplies for easy installation. For example, the sempriaLED™ product line includes fixtures that are pre-assembled and offer illumination for key areas of the kitchen. The fixtures’ “no dot” functionality eliminates the typical “dot-dot-dot effect” created by many LED products for a smoother, even glow of light.

The illumaLED™ product line includes tape lighting, puck lighting, and specialty lighting for a variety of areas in the kitchen, bath, and home. The flexible tape lighting can be field cut and connected and is ideal for under, above, and inside cabinets, toe kicks, floating vanities, deck rails, or wherever low-maintenance light is needed.

Jeffrey Alexander and Elements brands were both chosen as best in the Decorative Hardware category, with criteria focused on style/aesthetics as well as their ability to coordinate with fixtures.

With more than 100 combined styles between them, in multiple sizes and trending finishes, Jeffrey Alexander and Elements has an impressive lineup of offerings to fulfill designer and consumer needs and tastes. As market needs have shifted toward longer pulls and more options in gold and black finishes across all price points, Jeffrey Alexander and Elements are there to answer the call.

Winners in this category also were evaluated based on style/aesthetics. Once again, Hardware Resources came out on top for its collection of high-performing hardware that solves user challenges without sacrificing aesthetics.

Just one of the products in the line is the 1750 Adjustable Soft-Close European Hinge, which offers patented user-adjustable soft-close speed, six-way adjustability and two-stop action. An all-metal concealed damper provides for worry-free use; the hinges are ANSI certified to Grade 2 ANSI/BHMA 100,000 cycles.
